about me

my name is freja (she/her), but i also go by denanglens and flower’s crow, and i write things sometimes.

i also do other creative work, but with less regularity. if i ever feel like it, i might upload it to this website.

facts about me:

• i live in sweden
• i am terrible at writing
  • i do believe i have written a few things which could be considered half-decent but only if you are lenient
  • not many though
  • it is still fun
• i am a little too self depricating
  • something i should learn is having confidence in myself
• i am agnostic
  • by this i specifically mean that i make no claim regarding the existence of a god.
  • i don’t believe there is any reason to believe in a god, nor is there any reason to not believe in a god.
  • and really, i don’t think the answer has much relevance to my own existence.
• my hair is long and luscious
  • it is so very beautiful
  • am i doing confident correctly?

things i like:

• bugs,
  • they are deeply facinating.
  • although they are gross.
  • currently i especially like solitary bees.
• reading,
  • i mostly read fiction, especially fantasy. currently reading the stormlight archives.
  • though i have enjoyed reading some non-fiction to.
    • i want to read more non-fiction.
• programming,
  • i know a few languages, but none really well.
    • python, odin, haskell to name my most used ones.
  • still very much a beginner.
• the ceaseless patter of the rain,
  • how the winds blow restlessly, making the trees sway;
  • the sun that shines between the clouds, and how it carries warmth;
  • the view from high up places.
• listening to music,
  • i can’t say i have a specific genre i like.
  • it is just jumpy in general.
    • i can go an entire month listening to nothing but Metamorphoses by Bat Nouveau
    • then next month i cannot bear listening to them.
  • as of writing this, i am listening to ‘soft piano music’.
    • idk what to say, just the vibe i was feeling.
• yuri,
  • there is not enough yuri.
  • i have read most popular yuri manga.
    • and a lot of obscure ones too.
    • i know that there will be hidden gems out there but i do not have the energy to sort through them all.
• conlanging
  • i know a teensy tiny little bit of toki pone
  • also have tried creating some of my own
    • not very good though
    • might share some if i feel like it
• writing,
  • this is basically what the side is mostly dedicated to.
  • i might (very large might) upload other things.
• deeply ambiguous shit,
  • specifically regarding art.
  • the more ambiguous it is, the more i like it.
    • relationships, magic, major plot events, absolutely everything, personality, appearance, feelings, etc.
  • i do not know the reason, it simply is.
• mathematics,
  • currently studying some grade of maths, which is hard to find an english equivalent to since i am from sweden.
  • think it would be “A-level further mathematics”, from quick googling.
    • not sure at all actually
    • the courses are mathematics 4 & 5
  • it is basically the highest level of maths i can get in ‘gymnasiet’ (equivalent of upper secondary school)
• video essays,
  • dear god i love video essays
  • a favourite of mine is jacob geller.
• art in general
  • both in the sense of consumption and creation.
  • although i don’t have much experience with creating arts besides writing.
    • and i am not even that good at writing
